Kansas Congressman Yoder Working with Matusek to support the RPM Act

Below is a transcript of the letter our CEO, Steve Matusek, received from Kevin Yoder.

June 1, 2017

Dear Mr. Matusek,

Thank you for taking the time to contact me in regards to H.R. 350, the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports (RPM) Act. It is an honor to serve the people of Kansas in the United States Congress and your communication is a vital part of our legislative process.

As you may know, Representative Patrick McHenry introduced H.R. 350 on January 6, 2017. If enacted, this bill would amend the Clean Air Act to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from enacting regulations which would target modified motor vehicles that are used for racing. Automobiles that are modified for exclusive track use would not be subject to EPA restrictions on tampering with cars.

At this time, H.R. 350 has been referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Please know that while I do not serve on this committee, I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should this or any similar legislation come before the full House of Representatives for a vote.

My staff and I are dedicated to providing outstanding services to the constituents of our district.  One of the ways we do this is by providing constant updates on my work in Kansas and in Washington through social media.  To stay connected and follow every vote that I take in Congress please “Like” my page on Facebook (www.facebook.com/congressmankevinyoder), follow me on Twitter (www.twitter.com/repkevinyoder), and visit my website (www.yoder.house.gov) to sign up for my weekly e-newsletter.

Again, thank you for your input and message regarding this issue.  Please let me know how I can be of further service in the future.

Sincerely,
Kevin Yoder
Member of Congress
